TV-Series
Description
Cecil Aijima is the first prince of the fictional desert kingdom of Agnapolis, a nation known for its devotion to the goddess of music, Muse. He is of mixed heritage, born to the king of Agnapolis and a Japanese mother named Kotomi Aijima. This background gives him a distinct appearance with brown hair, green eyes, and somewhat tanned skin, standing at 177cm tall. Due to his mixed bloodline, he faced persecution from relatives such as his uncle and cousins, who deemed him unworthy of the royalty. This led to him being cursed to live as a black cat and exiled to Japan.

In his feline form, Cecil was found and cared for by the main heroine Haruka Nanami, who named him Kuppuru. Her kindness and the power of her music, linked to the goddess Muse, eventually broke his curse and restored his human form. This event forged a profound and unwavering devotion to Haruka, and he expresses his love for her directly and without hesitation, often disregarding the academy's rules against romantic relationships.

Personality-wise, Cecil is characterized as honest, loyal, and straightforward, though his manner can sometimes come across as blunt or childish. His upbringing as a prince in a foreign land means he sometimes struggles with Japanese customs and social cues, which can lead to unintentional rudeness or cultural misunderstandings. Despite this, he carries a childlike curiosity and enthusiasm for new experiences in Japan. He is also deeply insightful and sensitive to the feelings of others, a trait likely influenced by the spiritual culture of his homeland. Notably, he has a strong aversion to fish and water, stemming from his desert origins, and a great fondness for milk. His hobbies include performing magic tricks and he is skilled at playing the flute.

Cecil initially enrolls at Saotome Academy not out of a desire to be an idol, but solely to remain close to Haruka. He is originally a hidden character who joins later, but eventually becomes the seventh member of the main idol group STARISH. His role in the story involves navigating his duties as a prince with his new life as an idol, all while his feelings for Haruka serve as his primary motivation. He is assigned the senior idol Camus as his mentor, and their relationship is initially strained due to Cecil's reluctance and Camus's strict standards, but it gradually evolves into mutual respect. Cecil is one of the few people who can see past Camus's cold exterior. He gets along well with most of his STARISH bandmates, particularly Otoya Ittoki, with whom he shares a significant, though often unacknowledged, connection. It is revealed that Cecil and Otoya share the same mother, Kotomi, making them half-brothers.

Throughout the series, Cecil demonstrates notable abilities beyond singing. As a royal from Agnapolis, he possesses magical powers, including the ability to shapeshift into a cat and even to fly. He wears a blue necklace from his homeland that contains muses which help him write spiritually resonant poetry. His character development sees him mature from a self-assured prince who dismisses the idol industry into a committed and humble performer. Inspired by the dedication of Haruka and STARISH, he embraces teamwork and strives to improve as an idol, hoping to make his mentor and friends proud while supporting Haruka through her music.
