Its name is a shortening of Logistics Conveyer Machine. Manufactured in 2022, it is a quadrupedal walker tank originally assigned to Public Security Section 9 for field testing. The Logicoma possesses a moderately advanced artificial intelligence that allows it to identify its commander and provide autonomous support during operations, acting as a liaison and bodyguard for Major Motoko Kusanagi while she investigates cases such as the bribery charges against Lieutenant Mamuro. It communicates through signal lights and is equipped with thermoptic camouflage, enabling it to render itself invisible. The unit’s physical design is reminiscent of a spider, with four extendable armored legs, a domed central body, a rear-mounted abdomen, and two forward manipulator arms.
