TV-Series
Description
Nahoya "Smiley" Kawata commands authority as the Fourth Division Captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang, a role following his leadership of the Twin Devils Gang—a group he co-founded and led with his younger twin brother, Souya "Angry" Kawata, in Meguro. Their rivalry with Kanji Mochizuki’s Jugem Gang dissolved when the twins disbanded their crew to join Tokyo Manji, with Smiley ascending to captain and Angry to vice-captain.

Standing at 170 cm with fair skin and unruly peach-colored curls he battles to tame, Smiley’s most striking feature is his ever-present grin, which stretches wide enough to obscure his eyes. Silver earrings adorn his left ear, and he swaps his gang uniform for color-coordinated outfits with Angry. In the Valhalla timeline, his hair lengthens into shoulder-length waves, paired with a sharp white suit and black dress shirt.

Driven by fierce loyalty, Smiley prioritizes shielding Angry from harm and thrives on confronting formidable opponents, strategizing meticulously in fights. His enigmatic smile masks most emotions, though insults toward Manjiro Sano (Mikey) ignite visible fury. Secretly, he crafts plastic models and devours manga, hobbies he suppresses to uphold his hardened reputation.

A tactician renowned for raw power, Smiley’s hospitalization during the Tenjiku conflict left Tokyo Manji vulnerable; allies insist his presence could have crushed elite adversaries like the Haitani brothers. His later victory over Tenjiku’s Kakucho underscored his ruthless efficiency when provoked.

Born May 25, 1989, Smiley dreams of leading a grand host group with sleek straight hair—a stark contrast to his despised curls. He fears his mother’s judgment, ranks second in gang sprinting speed, and third in a "worst boyfriends" poll, his combat zeal overshadowing romantic charm.

Across the Moebius, Valhalla, Black Dragons, and Tenjiku conflicts, Smiley remains a steadfast force, surviving clashes without faltering in allegiance. His narrative anchors on unyielding loyalty to Angry and Tokyo Manji, his moral compass unwavering in documented accounts.
