Description
Ogre is one of the main characters of the anime Beast Saga and a leading warrior of the Land Tribe. He serves as captain of the Rapid Deployment Force in the royal army of the Gloria Kingdom and is the son of King Liogre, which places him as the prince of the kingdom. He first appears in the episode Beast Fight! Showdown Between Warriors!.

In appearance, Ogre is an anthropomorphic brown lion with olive green eyes, two small sharp teeth, and a crown worn on his head. He is typically seen in a medium red suit, and his large muscular build reflects his role as a frontline fighter.

Ogre's personality combines the toughness of a seasoned warrior with a genuine care for others. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and comrades, and he channels his considerable strength into protecting his tribe, his kingdom, and those who cannot defend themselves. Although his presence in combat can seem intimidating, he is kind-hearted beneath the surface and shows particular tenderness toward children.

His primary motivations are rooted in duty: protecting the Gloria Kingdom, honoring his position in the royal army, and living up to the expectations that come with being the prince. He is also driven to grow as a warrior and prove himself, both in beast fights against outside opponents and within his own kingdom. His determination is visible in his willingness to face powerful rivals rather than avoid them.

Ogre's role in the story places him at the center of the kingdom's military conflicts and its most important battles. He participates in the fight to recover a stolen Godlot, which leads to a duel with a powerful opponent named Titanburton, and he later faces his own father in a confrontation at the Gloria Festival, a matchup that becomes a key moment in the series. This rivalry between father and son is one of his defining story threads, as their later rematch carries the weight of Ogre's development toward becoming a worthy successor and an independent warrior in his own right.

His most significant relationship is with Liogre, his father and the king, whose strength and approval Ogre seeks to match. His standing in the military also ties him to the other soldiers of Gloria, and his sense of honor governs how he treats friends and rivals alike.

In terms of notable abilities, Ogre relies on raw physical power, his sharp fangs, and his fighting skill. He is equipped for combat and fights with the intensity of a trained soldier, making him one of the more formidable warriors of the Land Tribe. His capacity to stand against elite opponents, including his own father, underscores both his strength and his ambition.
