His eyes are a shade of red, matching his jewel eyes made of red alexandrite. He always wears brown glasses and a brown collar featuring a red spade-shaped jewel. His magical motif is the alexandrite gemstone, and his secondary motif is a red spade. Alex is studious and intelligent, with a deep love for reading. He is often seen deep in thought, and when concentrating or feeling pensive, his drooping ears hang down even more. Despite his serious demeanor, he is caring and consistently supports his friends. He has poor eyesight, which is why he wears his signature glasses, making him the first Jewelpet character with this design trait. As the Jewelpet representing Possibility, his magical abilities are tied to dreams and potential. He can change the probabilities of events, alter fate, reveal future possibilities, and help fulfill dreams. Descriptions of his power sometimes vary, with seasonal interpretations emphasizing hope or a brighter future. In Jewelpet Sunshine, Alex works as an accountant under a character named King, who runs a fruit-selling organization that functions similarly to a mob. He is frequently seen alongside his associate Brownie, and together they act as King’s subordinates, placing him in a comedic, henchman-like role. Alex first debuted in the original Jewelpet series as one of the seven members of the Jewel Eight. In that appearance, he was corrupted by Dian and forced to use his power to redirect an asteroid toward Earth, requiring rescue by the main characters. In Jewelpet Twinkle, he showed brief romantic interest in Sapphie, Garnet, and Prase.
