Description
Midori Seto is a supporting character in the anime series Inazuma Eleven GO. She is one of three new managers for the Raimon soccer team, introduced alongside Aoi Sorano and Akane Yamana. Midori is a second‑year student at Raimon. She has long orange hair tied in small braids with blue hair ribbons, green eyes, and slightly tanned skin. Unlike the other managers, she does not wear the standard school uniform; instead she wears a long skirt and a blue blouse without a ribbon.

Her personality is strict, direct, and at times physically rough—she is known to slap the protagonist Tenma Matsukaze on the back when she is annoyed or trying to motivate him. Despite this tough exterior, she has a softer side and cares deeply for the team. She exhibits classic tsundere traits: she can be harsh toward Tenma but gradually shows genuine concern and affection for him. She is also prone to outbursts of frustration when teammates lose hope, as seen during the Holy Road arc when she yells at players who are unwilling to rebel against Fifth Sector. Fans have noted that her demeanor is sometimes described as more assertive or “manlier” than some male characters, which sets her apart from the more polished managers of earlier seasons.

Midori introduces herself as Tenma’s “private cheering squad,” and her primary motivation is to support the team and ensure they give their best effort. She is fiercely loyal and will not hesitate to speak her mind when she sees players giving up. Over the course of the series, she becomes more involved in the team’s activities and even learns Tenma’s signature shooting technique, Evolution, which she can use in certain circumstances. In the game versions of the series, her kicking power ranks among the best of the female characters, making her a capable player if trained properly.

Her role in the story is primarily that of a manager. In the first season of Inazuma Eleven GO, she is a constant presence on the sidelines, offering commentary and emotional support. In the sequel series Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stone, she continues as a manager for Raimon and later also supports El Dorado Team 01 and Chrono Storm. She does not become a main player, but her contributions off the field and her occasional direct involvement in training help the team grow.

Midori’s key relationships include Tenma, toward whom she acts harsh but protective; fellow managers Aoi and Akane, with whom she works closely; and Shindou Takuto, who occasionally receives her blunt criticism. She does not experience a major transformational arc, but she does show personal growth by learning to trust the team more and stepping up when the situation demands a firm hand. Her notable abilities are her strong kicking technique, her ability to learn and replicate player moves, and her unwavering sense of duty to the team.
