Description
Hidetora Tojo is an eighteen-year-old third-year student at Ishiyama High School and is widely recognized as the strongest member of the Tohoshinki, the group of the school's four most powerful delinquents. He stands at 188 centimeters tall with a muscular, well-built frame, and has reddish-orange spiky hair pushed back from his face. He also bears a scar on the right side of his forehead.

Tojo comes from a very poor family background, which has forced him to work numerous part-time jobs from a young age to help support his household. This dedication to work has earned him the nickname the "king of part-time jobs," and he is often seen leaving class or missing school entirely to work at various places, including construction sites, carnival booths, and beach food stalls. Despite his tough exterior, he has a notable soft spot for small animals and children, and is often seen trying to play with cats or showing kindness to Baby Beel.

In terms of personality, Tojo is unusually calm and laid-back, which contrasts sharply with the typical hot-headed delinquents at his school. He has good control over his emotions and rarely reveals what he is thinking. His primary driving motivation is a love for good fights, a trait he shares with his rival, Tatsumi Oga. He is generally uninterested in weak opponents or ruling the school, but becomes excited at the prospect of facing someone who can challenge his strength. While extremely strong, he is noted for being somewhat dense and unperceptive, focusing almost entirely on using his physical power to solve problems. He holds a deep respect for powerful fighters, particularly his mentor, Zenjuro Saotome, and later for Oga.

Tojo plays a major role as a formidable rival and later a powerful ally. He is first introduced as the principal obstacle for Oga, defeating him in their initial encounter before being defeated in a subsequent rematch. A key aspect of his backstory involves his admiration for Zenjuro Saotome, whose strength inspired Tojo to become powerful himself. He is so influenced by Saotome that he initially has a tattoo resembling a demonic mark on his arm to emulate his hero. He is deeply loyal to his母校, Ishiyama High, and has a close group of followers, including Kaoru Jinno and Shoji Aizawa, who are extremely devoted to him.

Tojo has several key relationships that define his journey. His central relationship is with Oga, acting as both a rival who tests Oga's strength and a comrade in later battles. He also has a long-standing acquaintance with Shizuka Nanajo from the Six Holy Knights, a group of elite students at Saint Ishiyama Academy, having known her since childhood. His connection to Saotome is fundamental to his motivations, and he eventually becomes Saotome's student, learning techniques to fight demons more effectively.

Throughout the story, Tojo undergoes significant development. After moving with the other Ishiyama students to the stricter Saint Ishiyama Academy, he is forced to participate in a volleyball tournament to avoid expulsion, showing an ability to adapt. His strength continues to grow to supernatural levels, allowing him to defeat powerful demons from the 34 Pillar Division and the "Fallen Angel" group with ease. A pivotal moment in his development is receiving a genuine Royal Crest, the mark of Beelzebub's pact, with the number "4," which dramatically enhances his already immense physical prowess and grants him accelerated healing. Even after losing this power, his raw strength remains formidable enough to confront some of the series' most dangerous opponents.

Tojo’s notable abilities are almost entirely physical. He relies on brute strength and overwhelming power, with his fighting style being straightforward yet devastatingly effective. He possesses extreme durability and endurance, able to take powerful hits and keep fighting, and his raw striking force is immense, allowing him to shatter an opponent's enhanced strength or send them flying through walls with a single punch. His peak performance is demonstrated when he single-handedly defeats one hundred of an enemy's vassals in a massive battle, turning the tide of the conflict.
