Description
Kento Miura is a secondary character who enters the story as a new classmate in Sawako Kuronuma's second-year class at Kitahoro High School. He had previously been in the same first-year class as Ume Kurumizawa. His birthday is February 6, making him an Aquarius, and his blood type is A. He is notably tall and has distinct, wavy blond hair, which leads Sawako to initially imagine him as American when they first meet.

Kento possesses a flamboyant and charming personality, carrying himself with a lighthearted and sociable demeanor that makes him very popular, particularly among female students. He has a self-proclaimed motto of "universal love" and considers himself an honest and altruistic person who enjoys helping others, specifically describing his hobby and talent as taking care of girls. Unlike Shouta Kazehaya, whose outgoing nature sometimes masks his insecurities, Kento fully embraces the attention he receives and is comfortable with his own popularity. He has developed a following of female fans whom he has helped through their own romantic difficulties, and these fans agree to not become romantically involved with him or his friend Tsuru. Despite his good intentions, his actions can be impulsive or misguided. For example, he is quick to jump to conclusions, as seen when he wrongly accuses a classmate of assaulting Ayane Yano based on incomplete information.

Upon being seated next to Sawako, Kento immediately shows a keen interest in her. His primary role in the story is that of a catalyst; his friendly and flirtatious interactions with Sawako inadvertently provoke jealousy in Kazehaya and force the central pair to confront their feelings for one another. Kento takes it upon himself to give advice, at one point even telling Sawako that Kazehaya likes someone else and suggesting she should move on, partially out of his own growing attraction to her. However, after witnessing the depth of the bond between Sawako and Kazehaya, he ultimately recognizes that he cannot come between them and gracefully withdraws, choosing to support Sawako's happiness instead.

Following the resolution of Sawako and Kazehaya's relationship, Kento's focus shifts to Ayane Yano, who had been initially hostile toward him for meddling in her friend's affairs. He becomes seriously interested in Ayane after seeing her vulnerable side. While she turns him down at first, their relationship eventually develops into a genuine romantic one after Kento makes a grand gesture to win her over. Their relationship faces difficulties as they near graduation, as Ayane grows frustrated with Kento trying to base his future plans around hers. They ultimately break up on amicable terms, agreeing to meet properly to end the relationship. Kento shows maturity in accepting the breakup, and he later sincerely congratulates Ayane on her acceptance to a university in Tokyo. After graduating from high school, Kento plans to study interior design at a university in Sapporo, having gained admission through recommendation.

Kento's key relationships define his character arc. With Sawako, he begins as a potential romantic rival but ends as a genuine friend who respects her choice. With Ayane, he evolves from a nuisance to a serious boyfriend, and the relationship teaches him about genuine emotional connection and the pain of a mature breakup. With Kazehaya, he is initially an antagonist whose presence causes conflict, but they eventually reach a state of cool civility, with Kento even seeking Kazehaya's advice on relationships. His connection to Kurumizawa is that of a former classmate; he tries to propose a superficial solution to her unrequited feelings for Kazehaya, for which she slaps him, showing his occasional lack of sensitivity.

Kento's notable abilities lie in his social intelligence and his way with words, which he uses to connect with and offer counsel to his peers. He is highly communicative and skilled at providing emotional support, even if his advice is not always welcome or correct. He is also a capable student who organizes study sessions and helps Sawako step into the role of a tutor for their classmates.
