Description
Aeon, also known as Aeon Clock, is a Storm Rider whose real name is Yasuyoshi Sano. He is a young man with gray eyes and short gray hair that falls to his ears, and his appearance is typically marked by formal attire, including a suit, tie, and glasses, which gives him a notably professional and composed look.

Originally a member of the team Behemoth, Aeon was a capable and strategic rider. After Behemoth was disbanded, his path took a significant turn when he was recruited by Simca, the leader of the powerful team Genesis. In joining Genesis, Aeon became a loyal ally to the protagonist, Ikki, and his team, Kogarasumaru. His personality is generally calm, rational, and analytical, making him a valuable strategist and advisor. However, beneath this collected surface lies a deep well of loyalty and passion, particularly toward those he serves.

His motivations are closely tied to his personal bonds. He holds a deep devotion to Simca, serving as her trusted advisor, counselor, and even occasional chauffeur. More significantly, he develops a powerful, and explicitly confessed, love for Ikki, declaring that his life is Ikki's "feathers" and that his heart resides within Ikki's wings. This devotion defines his role in the story as a protector and supporter of Ikki, aiming to ensure his success and survival. Another profound motivation is his connection to his close friend, Ryo Mimisaka, a former teammate from Behemoth. Ryo holds a very large place in his heart, and he becomes visibly furious when she is harmed, a stark contrast to his usual calm demeanor. His actions within Genesis are partly driven by the goal of reviving her from a comatose state.

Aeon's key relationships extend beyond Ikki and Simca. He has a notable rivalry with Spitfire, having once desired to become the Flame King, yet the two share a mutual respect and can fight alongside each other effectively, even trading jokes and insults mid-battle. He also has a mentorship dynamic with Kazuma Mikura, or Kazu, whom he battles and later aids. Aeon watches over Kazu's growth with a sense of pride and excitement, ultimately seeing him as a worthy successor to the title of Flame King.

Throughout his arc, Aeon demonstrates significant development from a member of a rival team to a cornerstone of the allied forces. His story concludes with a profound act of sacrifice. In a desperate battle against the powerful Nike, Aeon reveals his ultimate ability: a unique Regalia called Phantom. This "All Purpose" Regalia was built directly into his own body by a tuner named Taeko, allowing him to utilize multiple Roads, such as the Thorn and Thunder Roads. Despite this power, he is mortally wounded by Nike. In his final moments, he uses his Phantom Regalia to tune the Flame Regalia and passes it to Kazu, acknowledging the younger rider's growth. He dies after being dealt a fatal blow, making his last words a testament to his loyalty and the excitement he felt in witnessing Kazu's journey.

In terms of notable abilities, aside from his strategic mind, Aeon is a highly skilled rider. His most distinctive ability is his Phantom Regalia. Unlike standard Regalia that are external parts, this one is cybernetically integrated into his body, allowing him to access and combine the powers of different Roads, such as the Thorn Road and the Thunder Road, making him a versatile and unpredictable fighter.
