Description
Head is a central antagonist in Star Driver, whose real name is Miyabi Reiji, though this itself is an alias. His true identity is Tokio Tnashi, making him the biological father of the protagonist, Takuto Tnashi. He is a man with a youthful and striking appearance characterized by his neck-length purple hair and matching purple eyes. He is often seen wearing a half-mask and the uniform of the Glittering Cross, a secret organization operating on Southern Cross Island.

Head serves as the representative of the organization's second unit, Vanishing Age, and acts as the de facto leader of the Glittering Cross in the absence of its true head. In this capacity, he is the one who proposed that whoever defeats the protagonist, the "Galactic Pretty Boy," would become the new leader of the Cross. He is a Star Driver, a pilot of a giant mecha known as a Cybody, and his personal unit is called Lesbal.

On the surface, Head presents himself as a calm, polite, and somewhat melancholic intellectual. He is a skilled painter who signs his work with an "R," having lost his artistic passion for a long time before rediscovering it by using another character, Sugata, as his model. However, this composed exterior masks a profoundly selfish and egotistical nature. His primary motivation is a desire to overcome his past regrets and achieve a personal ideal. He seeks to hijack the powerful King Samekh Cybody to become a time traveler, intending to return to the past and endlessly relive the happy memories he himself had discarded in his relentless pursuit of power. To achieve this, he is willing to sacrifice the entire future of humanity, as Samekh, if left unchecked, would drain the life force, or "libido," from the entire planet.

Throughout the story, Head plays the role of a manipulative puppet master. He is responsible for breaking three of the four seals on the island's Cybodies, including the one in the very first episode. He shows little regard for those around him, viewing members of the Glittering Cross, as well as key individuals like the shrine maiden Wako, as mere tools to be used and discarded for his plan. He exploits the loneliness of others, such as the comatose Star Driver Shingo Makiba, to obtain their power. One of his key relationships is with Ryosuke Katashiro, an old friend and his right-hand man, who is constantly cleaning up after him. It was Ryosuke who gave Head the "Lesh" mark that allows him to pilot Lesbal. Head has no paternal love for his son, Takuto, and their conflict forms the emotional core of the final battle.

In terms of abilities, Head is one of the most skilled Star Drivers in the series. A first-phase ability unique to him allows him to materialize and wield his Star Sword, Diamant, in his physical form without needing to summon his Cybody. He uses this power to break the seals. As a swordsman, he is highly proficient in a dual-wielding style, a technique he had mastered long before his son. Furthermore, he is an advanced driver who, even while bearing a mark, can refuse to be summoned into Zero Time, the alternate dimension where Cybody battles take place. In the final confrontation, after absorbing Samekh, he displays the ability to pilot two Cybodies at once, using his own Lesbal and the Cybody Sympathy in tandem.

His character undergoes a clear development from a mysterious and intriguing figure to an exposed villain. Initially shrouded in ambiguity, his true nature as a self-centered antagonist is gradually revealed, to the point where many viewers came to regard him as an irredeemable character. His downfall comes when his son, with the aid of his friends, breaks through his defenses and defeats him, foiling his plan to rewrite time for his own selfish ends.
