Description
Maria Dangering is a supporting character in Lady Georgie. She is the daughter of the Duke or Count of Dangering, a powerful and corrupt nobleman involved in illegal activities in London, and the cousin of Elise Dangering. She is a teenage girl with medium-length brown hair and green eyes. Her most defining trait is her immediate and strong romantic attachment to Arthur Buttman, one of the adoptive brothers of the protagonist Georgie. She falls in love with Arthur at first sight and uses her influence over her father to intervene on Arthur's behalf, pleading for his life and persuading her father to make him her fiancé, thereby sparing him from harm. Her infatuation with Arthur positions her as a key figure in the rescue and protection of Arthur during the family's conflict with the Dangering household. While she acts out of personal affection, her actions serve to counterbalance the cruelty of her father and brother, positioning her as a figure of mercy within an antagonistic family. Her development is tied to her willingness to defy her family's malice for the sake of her feelings, though her role remains focused on her connection to Arthur rather than independent agency. She does not possess notable abilities beyond her social standing and her capacity to sway her father's decisions.
