TV-Series
Description
Kevin, called Oncle Kevin in the French version of Lady Georgie, is a supporting character who appears mainly in the early episodes of the anime, which take place in Australia. He is the uncle of the Baker children and a familiar presence in their household. Kevin is one of the few people who know the truth about Georgie's birth: she was not the biological daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Baker but was entrusted to them as a baby, and Kevin keeps this secret without ever revealing it to Georgie. He is presented as a man of British upper-class background who does not hold a title of nobility.

His personality is calm, attentive, and reassuring. He shows genuine concern for the safety of the family, as when he waits on the riverbank for the Bakers to return from Lizard Island and worries about the storm that is gathering. When Mr. Baker's injury from the canoe accident turns out to be more serious than first thought, Kevin tries to calm the household by telling them that it is only a fever that will pass after a night of rest. His judgment is respected within the family: when Mrs. Baker is reluctant to let Georgie attend the village school run by Sister Katie, she finally agrees on Kevin's advice.

In the story, Kevin acts as a trusted counselor to the Baker family and, more specifically, to Georgie and her brothers. His role is modest but meaningful. He offers practical guidance, calms anxious moments, and quietly carries the burden of knowing Georgie's origins. Because he is aware of the secret, he functions as a silent protector of the family's stability during the years Georgie grows up unaware of her past. His motivations appear to be loyalty to the Bakers, concern for their well-being, and a desire to protect the secret entrusted to him.

Kevin's key relationships are with Mr. Baker, Mrs. Baker, their sons Abel and Arthur, and Georgie herself. He is described as a good advisor to the brothers and a reassuring relative who can be counted on in difficult moments. In terms of development, he remains a stable and supportive figure whose appearances are concentrated in the early part of the series; he does not undergo a personal transformation or play a central part in the later events of the story. He has no special or supernatural abilities. His notable qualities are good judgment, a calming presence, and the trust the family places in him.
