TV-Series
Description
Anna Petrova is a mysterious and kindly elderly Russian woman who travels with the Dandelion Troupe, serving as a grandmotherly figure to all its members despite no one being certain of her exact age. She has gray hair typically styled to ear-length and is most often seen with her eyes closed, which adds to her enigmatic presence.

Her primary role within the traveling performance group involves creating all their costumes and operating the phonograph mounted on top of their caravan. In addition to her work for the troupe, Anna runs a successful side business crafting extravagant hats and hair ornaments for noblewomen and aristocrats, which is a significant source of income for the Dandelion Troupe alongside public donations. Her hat-making often requires the group to make detours for deliveries, and it is through one such delivery to a buyer named Emma that the main character Nadja is able to have a pivotal meeting with Francis Harcourt.

Anna possesses a subtle but clear ability to perceive fate and the future. Upon first meeting Nadja, she immediately recognizes that the girl is chosen by destiny and has many adventures ahead of her, and throughout the series she consistently seems to know when important events are about to unfold. Despite her small stature and advanced age, she is an unexpectedly skilled fighter, wielding a deadly iron pan with surprising effectiveness. She also demonstrates a practical talent for knitting, having personally created a dress for Nadja.

As a foundational member of the Dandelion Troupe, Anna acts as a steady, nurturing presence and a source of wisdom for the younger members. Her role is often that of a fortune teller and advisor, guiding the troupe with her foresight. She maintains key relationships with everyone in the group, but her connection with the young protagonist Nadja is particularly significant, as she becomes a protector and maternal guide on the girl's journey. Over the course of the story, her mysterious nature persists, but her actions consistently reinforce her role as a caring, capable, and unexpectedly formidable guardian whose skills in crafting, combat, and clairvoyance all contribute to the troupe's survival and the advancement of Nadja's personal journey.
