Description
Ken is introduced as a rogue robot pilot driven by an all-consuming quest for vengeance against the Mimetic beasts. His entire existence has been shaped by the loss of his wife, Rosa, who was taken by one of these creatures. This singular tragedy fuels his every action, turning him into a relentless hunter who travels the world seeking his prey. So focused is he on finding the specific Mimetic beast responsible that he is known for shouting, "You're not the one!" at each monster he destroys, dismissing them as the wrong target. This obsession has earned him the code name Menage Zero, a designation given to rogue robots who operate without any official authority or sanction.

Personality-wise, Ken is defined by a potent mixture of rage and a deep-seated need for revenge. He is a man consumed by his grief, which manifests as a reckless and dangerous drive in battle. This inner turmoil is further complicated by the "Sindrome della Rabbia," a virus-like condition that infects many male pilots. This syndrome amplifies his anger to monstrous levels, causing him to lose his humanity and consciousness, transforming him into a deformed beast. Despite this overwhelming darkness, a facet of his character is revealed when he takes in Lou, a young girl who begs him to teach her to be a pilot. This action shows that beneath his vengeful exterior, he retains a capacity for responsibility and guidance.

Ken's role in the story is that of a wild card and a tragic foil to the more structured world of the Godannar team. His independent and chaotic methods often put him at odds with the protagonists, as he prioritizes his personal vendetta over coordinated efforts against the Mimetic threat. His primary relationship is with the memory of his deceased wife, Rosa, who was both his partner in life and in battle. His entire journey is an attempt to reconcile with her loss. Another key relationship forms with Lou, who becomes his student. This mentorship, however, is cut short by Ken's deteriorating condition. His descent into madness from the anger syndrome culminates in a moment of clarity and selflessness, where he ejects Lou from his robot, the Celleblader, to save her.

Ken's development is a tragic arc from a vengeful hunter to a self-sacrificing warrior. He spends most of the series searching for the specific beast that killed Rosa, refusing to find peace until he confronts it. Eventually, he learns the truth of his wife's fate, which brings his long search to an end. In his final battle, he fully succumbs to the rage syndrome but uses his transformed power to attack a Super Mimetic Beast, revealing its weakness to the Godannar. This act allows the main robot to finish the fight, and Ken dies in the process, finally giving in to his vengeance while also achieving a heroic end. As a pilot, his notable ability is his ferocious and unpredictable combat style, piloted in his robot, the Celleblader. His most significant act, however, is not a standard ability but the devastating final explosion he causes with his robot and his enemy, an act that grants him peace at last.
