Alfred Labatos is a Filipino actor and voice artist best known for his extensive work providing Tagalog dubs for Japanese anime series and Korean dramas. He was born Alfred Alain Corpuz Labatos on June 30, 1992, in Caloocan, Philippines. His career in entertainment began in childhood when he was discovered in 1998 after joining the segment "That's My Boy" on the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga!. He subsequently became a child actor and was a main cast member of the long-running comedy gag show Goin' Bulilit, which launched his on-camera career.
Labatos's entry into voice acting occurred concurrently with his on-screen work. He started dubbing at the age of ten, beginning with a Tagalized Mexican telenovela project, and he continued to take on voice roles while appearing in Goin' Bulilit and other television guestings. He has since established a prolific career as a voice talent, providing the Filipino voices for leading characters in a wide array of popular anime series. Among his most prominent roles are Tohru Acura in Chaika - The Coffin Princess, Tōru Miyagishi in Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, and Keiichi Nakagawa in Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, also known as KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops. His filmography also includes voicing Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, Barnaby Brooks Jr. in Tiger & Bunny, Sadao Maou in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, and Kirito in Sword Art Online.
Beyond anime, Labatos has lent his voice to numerous Filipino-dubbed Korean dramas. He is recognized for his role as Song Woo Bin in the Tagalized version of the hit series Boys Over Flowers, and more recently, he voiced the complex character of Lee Tae Oh, renamed Tony, in the popular series The World of a Married Couple.
