Movie
Description
Keiichi Nakagawa is a character from the long-running series Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, appearing in its second theatrical film. He is a police officer serving at the Kameari police station. His background is notably privileged, as he is the son of the immensely wealthy Nakagawa financial conglomerate. This background gives him access to tremendous resources, and he is known to drive exotic sports cars and even private helicopters.

Physically, Nakagawa is depicted as very tall and handsome. He has a versatile and talented nature, being skilled in a wide array of activities, from playing the violin to various sports and business management. Despite his elite upbringing and abilities, he is characterized as being somewhat naive about the ordinary world, lacking practical common sense due to his sheltered life. In the context of the movie, his personality is described as serious and diligent, contrasting with the chaotic energy of the station.

His primary role in the story, both in the general series and the second movie, is as a fellow officer to the protagonist, Kankichi Ryotsu. He often serves as a straight man or comic foil to Ryotsu's wild and irresponsible schemes. While Ryotsu is constantly looking for ways to get rich quickly, Nakagawa is already from immense wealth, which highlights the comedic dynamic between the characters. One of his key relationships is with his colleague Reiko Katherine Akimoto, with whom he shares many talents and often works alongside. In the film, he works together with Ryotsu and Reiko to stop a group of criminals searching for an ancient treasure.

Nakagawa's motivations are generally aligned with being a competent and dedicated officer, though his character does not typically undergo significant long-term development, remaining a consistent and reliable presence within the ensemble cast. A distinctive and rarely seen aspect of his personality is that he has the potential to go completely insane, either when under extreme stress or when intoxicated, which is a sharp departure from his usually calm and composed demeanor. His role in The Movie 2 is consistent with his established character, providing a capable and level-headed counterbalance to the impulsive Ryotsu as they confront the threats of the film's plot.
