Marc Zanni i Vilamitjana is a Catalan voice actor and dubbing director, born in Barcelona on November 8, 1969. He is widely recognized for his extensive work in anime dubbing, primarily in the Catalan language, where he has lent his voice to a multitude of leading characters over a career spanning more than three decades. He is the son of Joan Zanni, also an actor and dubbing director.

Zanni began his professional career in dubbing in the late 1980s after studying at the APADECA dubbing school. His most iconic and enduring role is that of the adult Son Goku in the Catalan versions of the Dragon Ball franchise, including Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball GT, a role he has also voiced in films such as Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. This performance has made him a well-known voice for generations of viewers in Catalonia.

Beyond Dragon Ball, Zanni's filmography includes a wide array of prominent anime characters. He is the voice of Roronoa Zoro in the Catalan dubs of One Piece, a role he has performed for numerous episodes and films like One Piece Stampede and One Piece Film Red. His other notable anime roles include Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach, Hanamichi Sakuragi in Slam Dunk, Ranma Saotome (male) in Ranma ½, and the father Hiroshi Nohara in various Crayon Shin-chan films. He also voiced Enrico Pucci in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband, Goemon Ishikawa XIII in Lupin III The First, and Captain Harlock in Harlock: Space Pirate, among many others.

In addition to acting, Marc Zanni has frequently worked as a dubbing director and adapter. He has directed the Catalan dubbing for numerous series, including One Piece, for which he also directed over 500 episodes, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Z Kai. His work as a dialogue adapter on The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power earned him a finalist nomination for best translation and adaptation for a series at the XI ATRAE awards. He has also directed dubs for series such as Shin Chan and Teletubbies.

Zanni has also contributed to literature and media about his profession. In 2012, he co-authored the book La sèrie de la teva vida with Joan Sanz, the voice of Vegeta, which shares anecdotes and experiences from dubbing Dragon Ball. He is also a published poet and has participated in literary awards. Alongside Joan Sanz and Carles Lladó, he formed the group M'anime l'anime to promote the world of anime dubbing.

In his career, Zanni has been an outspoken advocate for the dubbing profession and has discussed the industry's working conditions, noting the modest pay for voice actors in its early days. In 2024, he was involved in a significant development regarding the Catalan dub of One Piece, where he stepped down as director due to production disagreements but continued in his role as the voice of Roronoa Zoro, later confirming the reactivation of the dubbing project.
