Description
Teru Mikami is a criminal prosecutor who becomes a fanatical follower of Kira, the alias used by Light Yagami. He is chosen by Light to act as the public face of Kira when Light needs to avoid direct suspicion, earning him the designation of the fourth Kira and the nickname X-Kira. Mikami first appears in the latter half of the story, and his actions are central to the final conflict between Kira and the detective Near.
