Kiyoh, originally Kiyoh Bachika and later Kiyoh Littner, is introduced as the eldest of the three younger sisters of Kittan, forming part of a Beastman-hunting group known as the Black Siblings. Alongside her siblings, she fled her home village after its destruction and took to the surface to fight against the Beastmen and their Gunmen, driven by a desire to reclaim humanity's freedom. In terms of personality, Kiyoh is a pragmatic and resilient individual. While she shares the fierce and combative spirit of her family, she also demonstrates a capacity for direct action and a lack of hesitation when the situation demands it. This is evident when, following the devastating death of Kamina, the group falls into despair, but Kiyoh is the one who decides to step up and become a Gunmen pilot, showing her determination to continue the fight rather than succumb to grief.

Kiyoh's role within the story evolves significantly. Initially a member of the Black Siblings assisting Team Dai-Gurren on the surface, she is shown to have good combat ability, proficiently using weapons like slingshots and her signature burning water explosives. For a period, she works in the command room of the Dai-Gurren before transitioning to a frontline combat role. She eventually becomes the pilot of the Dayakkaiser, a Gunmen originally belonging to Dayakka, after he assumes a command position, allowing her to directly engage enemy forces in major battles. Her relationships are central to her character arc. Her bond with her siblings, particularly her fierce brother Kittan and her sisters Kinon and Kiyal, is a defining aspect of her early life. The most significant relationship, however, is with Dayakka. Following the defeat of the Spiral King, Kiyoh marries Dayakka and becomes pregnant with his child. This marks a major shift in her role, as she later gives birth to a daughter. This birth is a pivotal event, as the child becomes the one-millionth human on Earth, inadvertently activating the Human Eradication System and triggering the next major conflict of the series. As a mother, she provides a moment of grounded, personal stakes amidst the escalating cosmic war. She also offers crucial emotional support to Nia, encouraging her to accept Simon's marriage proposal and helping her understand her own feelings.

Kiyoh undergoes a notable development from a wandering Beastmen hunter to a frontline soldier in a colossal robot, and finally to a wife and mother whose family becomes a catalyst for the final act of the story. In terms of abilities, she is a capable combatant, skilled in martial arts and the use of projectile weapons, holding her own against Beastmen even before piloting a Gunmen. As a Spiral being, she can utilize Spiral Power, which allows her to control her Gunmen, the Dayakkaiser, enhancing its combat effectiveness. The Dayakkaiser itself is shown to be a formidable machine, capable of damaging powerful enemies. On one occasion, she also combines her Gunmen with Kittan's King Kittan and Kiyal's Kiyalunga to form the larger and more powerful King Kittan Deluxe.
