TV-Series
Description
Okusa, also rendered as Ookusa, is a supporting character in the romantic comedy series Ichigo 100%, also known as Strawberry 100%. He is one of the protagonist Junpei Manaka's close friends from middle school and is frequently seen alongside their mutual friend Rikiya Komiyama.

In terms of background, Okusa is the star player of his school's soccer team. He is a teenage boy with brown eyes and blonde or yellow hair cut to neck length. His athletic ability and good looks make him popular with female students, and he attracts attention from girls almost like a magnet. Because he is perceived as having experience with girls, Junpei turns to him for advice about romantic problems early in the story.

His personality is outgoing and sociable, comfortable with the attention his appearance and sports talent bring him, and he is quick to banter with his friends. When Junpei is unsure how to find the girl he encountered on the school rooftop, Okusa and Komiyama both insist that she could only be Tsukasa Nishino, the most popular and beautiful student in the school. Okusa then challenges Junpei to ask Tsukasa out, and Junpei agrees in the heat of the argument. This dare gives Junpei the push to approach Tsukasa, helping set an early plot point in motion.

Okusa's motivations are rooted in friendship. He acts as a supportive companion who encourages Junpei to be bold rather than hesitant, and his natural ease with girls contrasts with the uncertainty Junpei shows in romantic matters. His own romantic life is not a focus of the story; instead, he functions mainly as part of Junpei's circle of friends during the middle school portion of the narrative. His presence is concentrated in that phase of the story, where he is established as a steady, easygoing ally rather than a participant in the central romantic conflicts, and he does not undergo any dramatic personal transformation.

His key relationships are with Junpei Manaka, whom he advises and teases, and with Rikiya Komiyama, with whom he shares the role of one of Junpei's trusted friends. He also has a link to Tsukasa Nishino as a fellow popular student at the same school, and his confident assertion about her identity influences Junpei's early decisions.

Okusa's notable abilities are athletic rather than academic or artistic. His skill as a soccer player is his defining trait, and his physical talents, combined with his good looks, are the reason for his standing among classmates. He has no special powers or unusual talents beyond his sports ability and his easygoing social nature.
