Born on September 15, 1969, in Narbonne, France, Gimenez initially pursued a career as a nurse, working in a hospital in Nantes for several years before deciding to follow his passion for acting. At the age of 25, he moved to Paris and enrolled in the prestigious Cours Florent drama school. His professional career began with small roles in film and television, eventually leading to his first lead role in the 2000 film "J'aimerais pas crever un dimanche". Over the years, he has built an extensive filmography in French television, appearing in series such as "Plus belle la vie," "Cassandre," "Le sang de la vigne," and "Disparue," as well as in numerous television films.

Gimenez's voice acting career encompasses a wide range of prominent anime roles. In the fighting anime series "Baki the Grappler" and "Baki the Grappler Maximum Tournament," he voices the protagonist, Baki Hanma. He is featured prominently in the "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" franchise, providing the voice for the werewolf adventurer Bete Loga in both the main series and its spin-off, "Sword Oratoria".
