Description
Judau Ashta is the protagonist of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Born on October 10, 0073, in the Shangri-La colony located in Side 1, he is fourteen years old at the start of the story. He lives with his younger sister, Leina Ashta, in the colony's poorer district, as their parents have left for another colony and largely ceased to support them financially. To make a living and pay for his sister's education, Judau works as a junk dealer, salvaging and selling scrap material from space with a group of his friends.
Judau is characterized by a brash, outspoken, and straightforward personality. Initially, he is highly materialistic and focused on making money, driven by his desire to give Leina a better future than he believes he can have. He frequently skips school to work, which becomes a point of contention with his more responsible sister.
