Description
Gai Kurasawa, originally named Gai Matsukichi, is a private detective operating in Tokyo. His career as a police officer ended in frustration, leading him to resign and establish his own independent detective agency in an effort to escape the restrictive methods of conventional law enforcement. He now runs the Kurasawa Detective Agency, where he is perpetually on the brink of financial ruin and often accepts any case that comes his way, no matter how trivial or odd.
In personality, Kurasawa is a cynical heavy smoker, claiming that cigarettes are the only thing he genuinely loves. He often describes Tokyo as a stagnant and rotting city, frequently expressing that its gloomy weather suits his pessimistic view of the world.
