Description
Plue is a Silver Key Celestial Spirit belonging to Lucy Heartfilia. Formally known as Nicola the Canis Minor, he is a member of the Nikora species, a type of Celestial Spirit with no combat ability that is typically kept as a companion by mages. Lucy purchased his gate key for nineteen thousand Jewels after receiving a discount from its original price of twenty thousand. Plue is a small, stout, white creature with round black eyes and a long golden horn-like nose that resembles a carrot, which gives him a snowman-like appearance. His body often trembles nervously, and his soft, plush-like texture makes him seem more like a living stuffed toy than a fighter. He cannot speak in a conventional way and communicates only through the sound "puu-puun," along with gestures and motions; although Lucy finds his behavior endearing, Natsu is able to understand him in a way she cannot.
In terms of personality, Plue is gentle, obedient, and eager to help Lucy whenever she calls on him. He enjoys sweets and has a cheerful, playful nature, often joining his friend Happy in teasing Lucy and the Celestial Spirit Loke. He is also sincerely apologetic, as shown when he immediately expressed regret to Lucy after being forced to attack her under the influence of another mage's magic.
