TV-Series
Description
Hana is a central character who first appears as a baby born from the Blue Rose in the Witch World, an event witnessed by Doremi and her friends. This birth signifies her destiny as the future Witch Queen. In the season Ojamajo Doremi DOKKAAN!, Hana, having grown bored of the Witch World and deeply missing the girls who raised her, makes a monumental decision. She uses all of her immense magical power to instantly age herself into an eleven-year-old girl so she can return to the human world and attend school with them. This act shatters her magical crystals and causes the Maho-Do to transform from a bakery into a craft shop.
In terms of personality, Hana is a lively and childish girl with a big heart who often speaks in the third person and frequently uses the greeting Chīsu!. She can be selfish, rude, and prone to throwing tantrums when unhappy, often coming off as clueless or air-headed due to her young mentality. However, she is not spoiled and has only good intentions, being very affectionate and nonjudgmental, which allows her to make friends easily. Her primary motivation throughout DOKKAAN! is her strong desire to be with her adoptive mothers—Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, Onpu, and later Momoko—and she is willing to do anything to stay close to them.
Her role in the story is that of the final apprentice witch to join the group. After growing up, she becomes a classmate to Doremi and the others, though she still retains much of her baby-like character, leading to humorous and chaotic situations. Despite her childish behavior, she is a pure-blooded witch of immense power and a candidate for the next Witch Queen, which places her at the center of the season's events. Key relationships define her character. Doremi is essentially her primary mother, and they share a strong, similar bond, with Hana often turning to her for comfort. She loves all the other Ojamajo deeply, viewing them as her mothers, while Pop acts as a big sister figure. Her relationships with each girl are unique, from Aiko's stern watch to Onpu's ability to make her realize her mistakes.
Hana shows significant development by physically growing up to be more independent, yet her core personality remains that of a young child, creating an endearing contrast. As a notable ability, she possesses extraordinarily powerful magic, born with several magical crystals when most witches have only one. Even after shattering her crystals to age up, she still has a surplus of magical ability, and she is even shown to be able to perform magic without saying a spell, though she often recites one for fun.
