Description
Naomi Randall, eldest daughter of the wealthy Randall family owners of Randall Industries, enjoyed a privileged childhood doted upon by her parents. Despite this, she developed pure kindness and a strong sense of justice, treating everyone equally. Her adopted sister Kasane Randall, the same age, received cool treatment from their parents; Naomi compensated by showering Kasane with affection as a beloved younger sister, often intervening in her quarrels and offering unwavering support. Naomi possessed a refined, pretty appearance featuring blue eyes and blond hair, consistently wearing a handmade hairclip identical to one she gifted Kasane in childhood. Her shy, quiet nature made her popular with boys, though she pursued no romantic relationships.
As a 2nd Lieutenant (ID: NURN567208) in the OSF's 567th Class, Naomi utilized her psycho-kinetic ability of short-term precognition to foresee immediate events and specialized in combat with trap-based weaponry. During a mission to Suoh Line 9 (The Abandoned Subway), she used her precognition to intercept a sniper bullet meant for Kasane. The bullet carried Other particles, transforming Naomi into an unidentified type of Other—a grotesque organism. This transformation retained her identity and name, though OSF records initially flagged her new designation as a potential data error. In this state, she communicated using Brain Drugs.
Later, Naomi and roughly eight other human-origin Others, including Alice Ichijo, agreed to shield Kasane's platoon during a clash with Togetsu Design Children. All participating Others perished in the battle. Naomi sustained fatal injuries but remained unfeeling and paralyzed due to her Other physiology. In her final moments, a spectral projection resembling her shadow appeared before Kasane, expressing relief for her sister's safety. As the projection faded, Naomi urged Kasane to "Live a long life... for both of us..." before disintegrating into red Sakura-like petals, leaving only her hairclip faintly visible in the dissipating shadow. Her sacrifice underscored her enduring devotion to Kasane, framing her entire character arc around protective sisterhood.
