Pyxis Rusk is a minor supporting character in the anime adaptation of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, appearing only in that version of the story rather than in the original manga. He is a Bronze Saint of Athena who bears the Cloth of the constellation Pyxis, the Compass, and he serves the Sanctuary during the holy war of the eighteenth century.

Rusk is one of three disciples placed under the command of the Gold Saint Capricorn El Cid, who acts as their master. His fellow disciples are Vela Tsubaki and Puppis Lacaille, and the three train and fight together as a unit. Among the group, Rusk is the only Bronze Saint, and he is portrayed as the youngest and least experienced of the three. He is a teenage boy with blue eyes and short black hair that reaches his ears.

In personality, Rusk is noticeably more hesitant and fearful than his companions. He lacks the confidence shown by Tsubaki and Lacaille and tends to pause when faced with danger, especially when his own life is threatened. This timidity is tempered by the loyalty he shares with the other Saints: he is devoted to his master and to his duty, and his bond with Tsubaki and Lacaille is one of close friendship and mutual support, with his partners often providing the encouragement he needs to move forward.

Rusk's motivation is rooted in that devotion. He wants to serve El Cid faithfully and to stand beside his companions in the fight for Athena, but his fear of death makes him cautious and reluctant when a battle becomes truly perilous. His role in the story is brief. When El Cid sets out to rescue the soul of Sagittarius Sisyphus within the World of Dreams, he orders Rusk, Tsubaki, and Lacaille to remain at the Sanctuary. The three disobey and follow the trace of their master's Cosmo until they find him. As the confrontation with the god Oneiros unfolds, Tsubaki and Lacaille are ready to offer their help, while Rusk hesitates, gripped by the fear of dying. This moment serves as the main test of his character, forcing him to confront his own weakness in front of his comrades.

In terms of abilities, Rusk draws on the Cosmo, the inner energy that empowers all of Athena's Saints, and relies on his Bronze Cloth for protection in battle. The series does not grant him any distinct named technique, and his combat capability is not explored in depth. His significance lies chiefly in his relationship with El Cid and his fellow disciples and in the brief trial of courage he undergoes during his master's mission.
