ONA
Description
In the anime Oh, Suddenly Egyptian God, Anubis is the charming, compact jackal-headed deity serving as the God of the Dead and mummification. He presides over souls in his judgment hall, determining their fate using a playful see-saw rather than traditional scales. Beyond his solemn duty, Anubis pursues mummification recreationally by crafting small, adorable wrapped dolls or figurines. His personality is gentle and routine-oriented, and he often participates in the daily lives of the other gods, whether relaxing at home, enjoying instant pizza deliveries arranged by Horus, or joining group activities like rice planting. Anubis shares an exceptionally close bond with Thoth, the god of wisdom, as nearly inseparable companions; a rare argument between them over an egg in the second season briefly ruptures their friendship before it is resolved through hypnosis. Medjed frequently completes their trio, guarding the judgment hall queue. Anubis also takes part in divine social events such as New Year talent contests and attempts recreational physical feats like jumping from swings alongside the other gods.
