TV-Series
Description
Luciano, known in the Japanese version as Lucciano and in the English dub as Lester, is a character from the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. He is one of the Three Pure Nobles, also called the Infinity Trio, alongside Primo and Jakob. These three are embodiments of Aporia's despair and serve as major antagonists in the second season of the series. Luciano is the smallest and youngest member of the trio, with a youthful appearance that contrasts sharply with his personality.

Luciano's background is tied to the organization Yliaster, a group from the future that seeks to alter history to prevent a catastrophe caused by the Ener-D reactor. He first appears alongside his fellow Nobles at the crash site of a Wisel tablet, revealing themselves to the authorities as leaders of the organization. He is later present at the opening party of the World Racing Grand Prix, where he chuckles evilly and declares that the people of the city are being used.

Personality-wise, Luciano is manipulative, sinister, and prone to fits of manic laughter. He is described as having a cruel nature despite his childlike appearance, and he is highly intelligent, often referred to as a "super elite." His trademark intense laugh and extreme insanity set him apart as one of the more unhinged members of the trio. He enjoys causing chaos and deception, using his abilities to infiltrate and manipulate situations.

Luciano's role in the story primarily revolves around his involvement in Yliaster's plan to harness energy from Turbo Duels during the WRGP to power the Ark Cradle, a massive structure intended to destroy both New Domino City and the Satellite district. To further these goals, he enrolls at New Domino Duel Academy, where he uses his illusion abilities to disguise himself as a normal student. While there, he interacts with the Signers Luna and Leo, skillfully winning the favor of female students and making Leo jealous through his charm and expertise. His actions serve to destabilize the heroes from within.

Key relationships include his fellow Three Pure Nobles, with whom he shares a close bond as fragments of Aporia. He also has a connection with Aporia himself, as Luciano is an embodiment of one aspect of his despair. His interactions with the Signers are antagonistic, particularly with Luna and Leo, whom he faces in a duel. In that encounter, he demonstrates his cunning and strategic abilities.

In terms of development, Luciano remains a consistently villainous figure throughout his appearances, driven by his loyalty to Yliaster's mission. He does not undergo a redemption arc; instead, his character serves as a tool of the larger scheme. Ultimately, he and the other two Nobles merge to form Aporia, the true final antagonist of that arc.

Luciano possesses several notable abilities. He is a skilled duelist who uses a Deck centered around Meklord Emperor Skiel, one of the three Meklord Emperors. In addition to dueling, he has the power to create illusions, allowing him to change his appearance at will. He uses this ability to disguise himself as a student and to manipulate others. He is also left-handed, a trait he shares with the other members of the Infinity Trio. His strategic mind and manipulative nature make him a dangerous opponent, despite his youthful looks.
