Hitomi Yoshida is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer. Born on July 13, 1984, in Chiba Prefecture, she began her entertainment career as a child actor in 1990, appearing in stage productions, television dramas, and commercials. She gained early recognition for her singing ability after being cast in the lead role for the NHK educational program Uta te Odoronpa! in 2001.
Yoshida made her voice acting debut in 2006 with the Japanese dub of the film Cars. Her first regular role in an anime television series came shortly after, when she was cast as Haru Miura in the long-running series Reborn!, a character she would portray for several years. This role marked a turning point, making voice acting a central focus of her career.
Over the years, Yoshida has built a diverse portfolio of voice roles in both anime and animated films. She is well-known for voicing Mimi Tachikawa in multiple Digimon Adventure projects, including the film series Digimon Adventure tri. and the 2020 film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. She also voiced the titular dog Muco in the Lovely Muco series, including Lovely Movie: Itoshi no Muco and Lovely Muuuuuuuco!. Her other notable anime roles include Yuku in the Jewelpet franchise, Rin'nosuke in Omakase! Miraku Kuru-dan, and Miuha Aikawa in Occultic;Nine. In Grimms Notes the Animation, she provided the voice for the Queen of Poison Apples.
In addition to her voice work, Yoshida has maintained an active and successful career as a singer. She began her artist activities in 2008 and has performed theme songs for several major anime series. She formed the musical unit Blue Drops with fellow voice actress Saori Hayami, for which they sang opening themes for the Heaven's Lost Property series. Yoshida also contributed ending theme songs for three consecutive installments of the Pretty Cure franchise, beginning with Smile PreCure!. Her work extends to live-action television as well; from 2016, she has been the voice of the character Choromi in the popular NHK puppet show Garapico Pū.
Yoshida has also been active in stage musicals and theater throughout her career, with notable roles including a part in the Super Musical Saint Seiya and the lead role of Chizuru Yukimura in the Musical Hakuoki. In 2024, after being represented by the agency Amuleto for many years, she announced that she had become a freelance performer.
