Description
Muco is a four-year-old female Shiba Inu, equivalent to thirty-two human years. She lives with her owner, Komatsu, in a mountainous area where he runs a glassblowing workshop. Her life revolves around the daily experiences of this environment and Komatsu's activities.

She possesses high energy and deep affection, showing intense devotion to Komatsu. Commonplace events trigger pronounced excitement in her, like discovering car windows or tasting canned dog food for the first time. She delights in walks, playing with ropes or balls, eating crunchy dog food, and stretching towels. She dislikes rainy weather, vet visits, rubber chew sticks, delayed treats, and losing favorite toys.

Muco considers herself clever, admiring her shiny nose and viewing her discoveries as novel accomplishments, even when they seem mundane to humans. She struggles to understand human concerns, like Komatsu's workshop anxieties or his reprimands about towel-stretching or pond-swimming. She exhibits jealousy towards Shinohara due to Komatsu's romantic interest, yet demonstrates empathy, such as comforting Rena after initially disliking her tail-pulling.

Her social interactions are complex within Komatsu's circle. She associates Ushikou-san with the food aromas he carries, welcoming his visits for this reason. Her relationship with Bouda evolved from initial encounters to friendship, solidified during shared fishing where Muco outperformed him. She interacts regularly with Bouda's daughter, Rena, overcoming early reservations about her energetic play. She reacts to her veterinarian, Dr. Mutou, with persistent fear, perceiving him as a horror-movie antagonist due to vaccinations. Tamaki, Shinohara's brother and Komatsu's apprentice, initially confused her with his fear of dogs, though gradual warming occurred.

Her daily existence involves observing Komatsu's glassblowing work, exploring her surroundings, and encountering workshop visitors. These routines consistently reinforce her affectionate bond with Komatsu, whom she prioritizes above all else, occasionally naming invented games or toys after him.
