TV-Series
Description
Nelly Raimon is the daughter of Soichiro Raimon, the chairman of Raimon Junior High, and also serves as the student council president. At first, she is firmly opposed to the school’s soccer club and is determined to disband it. She sets difficult challenges for the team, threatening to shut them down if they fail. However, after watching several matches, she recognizes the potential and passion of the players, especially the goalkeeper Mark Evans. This change of heart leads her to become the third manager of the Raimon soccer club, joining the existing managers Aki and Haruna.

Nelly is strong‑willed and has a commanding presence, partly due to her position on the student council and her family’s influence within the school. She is academically excellent and carries herself with an air of authority. Although she initially dislikes getting her hands dirty, she gradually becomes more willing to involve herself directly in supporting the team. Her motivation shifts from shutting down the club to actively helping it succeed. She believes strongly in Mark Evans’s ability as a goalkeeper and develops a romantic interest in him over the course of the series.

In the story, Nelly plays an important supporting role as a manager. During the Aliea Academy arc, she follows the team on the Inazuma Caravan, using her connections to call on her father for assistance when the team needs help. She is one of the few characters who is comfortable with Coach Hitomiko and openly asks her to stay when Hitomiko considers leaving. Nelly also temporarily becomes the manager of Little Gigant, the national team of Costail, during the third season before returning to Inazuma Japan after a match against Team Garshield.

Her key relationships include her deepening bond with Mark Evans, whom she later marries, as seen in the sequel series Inazuma Eleven Go. She works alongside fellow managers Aki Kino and Haruna Otonashi, complementing their different strengths. Her relationship with her father also factors into her ability to mobilize resources for the team.

Over the course of the series, Nelly undergoes clear character development. She starts as an antagonist determined to eliminate the soccer club and transforms into one of its most dedicated supporters. She learns to put the team’s needs above her own preferences and takes on a more hands‑on role, even when it means stepping outside her comfort zone. Her growth is also reflected in her personal life, as her initial animosity toward Mark Evans evolves into respect and eventually marriage.

Nelly does not possess any special football abilities or techniques on the field. Her notable skills lie in organization, logistics, and negotiation. She uses her position as student council president and her father’s influence to provide the team with facilities, resources, and support. Her ability to analyze situations and her determination to help the team succeed make her an effective manager despite her lack of technical football knowledge.
