TV-Series
Description
Chester Horse Jr. is a recurring supporting character in the Inazuma Eleven anime, easily recognized by his short, neatly cut dark hair and distinctive round glasses with opaque white or red-tinted lenses. He is consistently seen wearing the standard Raimon Junior High school uniform, reflecting his status as a student at the school throughout most of the original series. In his later appearance as an adult in Inazuma Eleven GO, he has grown taller and sports a more mature hairstyle while working in the television industry.

Chester’s entire character is defined by his deep-seated ambition to become a football commentator, a dream he inherited from his father, Chester Horse Sr., who is an established professional in the field. This passion is not a fleeting interest but a core part of his identity. He is a member of the school's Chess Club, which might hint at a methodical and observant nature, qualities beneficial for a commentator. His personality is one of dedication and resilience; regardless of the circumstances or the location, Chester makes it his mission to be present and provide commentary for Raimon's matches. Whether the team is playing in a snowy mountain field, a secret underground facility, or an ordinary forest, he almost inexplicably appears, bicycle and all, ready to broadcast the action.

Within the story of Inazuma Eleven, Chester serves as the impassioned voice for many of the viewer’s most memorable matches. He first appears early in the series, taking on the role of commentator for Raimon’s games against major opponents like Royal Academy and continuing this role throughout the Football Frontier tournament. His role becomes even more prominent during the second season, the Alien Academy arc, where he is a constant presence, nervously and excitedly narrating Raimon's uphill battles against the overwhelming might of teams like Gemini Storm, Epsilon, and Genesis. He follows the team on their journey across the country, with his commentaries becoming a staple of the period. He is also present for the climactic match against the Dark Emperors, joining in the celebration of their victory. In the third season, he continues his craft by commentating on the tense selection match for Inazuma Japan and the subsequent match against Neo Japan. His loyalty to the team remains evident years later; in Inazuma Eleven GO, he appears as a television director conducting an interview with a now-adult Mark Evans, visibly moved to tears as he recalls their shared history and the team's incredible journey.

Chester’s key relationships are primarily with the Raimon team itself, though he shares a particular camaraderie with the team's managers, Celia Hills and Silvia Woods, with whom he often interacts from the sidelines or in the stands. He shares a deep, unspoken bond with his father, whose successful career serves as both his inspiration and his goal. While he does not participate in the action on the field as a player in the main plot, he is a recruitable character in the video games, where he occupies the position of a midfielder (MF) and possesses the Forest element. His in-game stats and player profile reinforce his primary identity, listing his dream as being a sports commentator just like his father. In the Inazuma Eleven Strikers video game, his role is cemented as the permanent commentator for all matches, providing a constant, lively soundtrack to the gameplay.
