Description
Jordan Greenway, known as Janus during his time as an alien, is a midfielder who first appears as the captain of Gemini Storm, a team from the Aliea Academy. Like other members of the academy, he grew up in an orphanage and was later used as a sparring partner for the elite Genesis team, a process that involved the corrupting influence of the Aliea meteorite fragment embedded in his uniform.
As Janus, his personality is cold, arrogant, and devoid of empathy. He fully embraces his role as an alien invader, showing nothing but contempt for defeated opponents and casually using his team's power to destroy schools, including Raimon Junior High. In this state, he is known for using sayings like "There is a saying on your Earth". However, this behavior is largely the result of the meteorite's brainwashing. After Gemini Storm is defeated, the influence is broken, and he initially loses his memories. When he recovers, his true personality emerges, revealing a much more agreeable, bright, and cheerful individual. His motivation during the alien arc is driven by the immense pressure within the Aliea Academy, where a single loss would mean expulsion for his team.
After the Aliea incident is resolved, Jordan is selected to join Inazuma Japan, the national team representing the country in the Football Frontier International tournament. During this period, he goes by his real name and has completely shed his Janus persona. His role on the team is as a front-line midfielder. Despite his skill, he struggles with a lack of self-confidence and a deep-seated fear that he cannot keep up with his more talented teammates. His key relationship during this time is with his friend Hiroto Kiyama, who tries to reassure him and help him improve his game. Jordan manages to learn a new powerful technique, proving his worth, but unfortunately suffers an injury during a match against Fire Dragon, forcing him to leave the team for the remainder of the tournament.
Years later, in Inazuma Eleven GO, Jordan appears as an adult and serves as the personal secretary to his friend Xavier Foster, the former Hiroto Kiyama. He is also shown to be a member of the resistance against the oppressive Fifth Sector.
