TV-Series
Description
Fūsuke Suzuno, known during his time with Alia Gakuen as Gazel, is a character who initially appears as the captain of the elite team Diamond Dust. His true identity is that of an Earthling from Haenimwon, and he is of Korean-Japanese descent. As a player, he typically holds the position of forward on the field.

Suzuno is characterized by a calm, quiet, and cool-headed demeanor that often comes across as aloof or arrogant. He displays a high level of confidence in his own abilities and is considered a genius and talented soccer player. His personality is often seen as the direct opposite of his rival, Nagumo Haruya, also known as Burn. A notable habit of his is combing his hair with his fingers, particularly when he is irritated or deep in thought. He also tends to roll up the sleeves of his uniform, a trait he shares with a few other characters. His speech patterns can be unusual, often involving dramatic and chilling phrases about freezing darkness and absolute zero, which fans have playfully noted as being typical of a self-conscious adolescent.

His primary motivation during the Alia Gakuen arc is tied to the internal competition within the academy. He and Burn were rivals competing for the position of the top team, Genesis. After Gran’s team, Gaia, was chosen as Genesis, Suzuno and Burn set aside their rivalry and joined forces to create the combined team, Chaos, with the goal of proving their strength and overpowering Raimon. In the third season, his motivation shifts as he is scouted by Aphrodi to join the Korean national team, Fire Dragon, for the Football Frontier International.

Suzuno's most significant relationship is with Nagumo Haruya (Burn). Initially bitter rivals who constantly argued over who was superior, their dynamic evolves when they unite to form Chaos. While they continue to bicker, they develop an effective partnership, demonstrating excellent coordinated play and a powerful combination hissatsu technique. He also has a relationship with Gran, as the three were considered the top players in Alia Gakuen, though they never officially played on the same team in the original series. In the Ares no Tenbin timeline, he is shown getting along well with Hiroto. The character also has a noteworthy relationship with the concept of ice and snow, which forms the basis of his playing style and personality, often being compared to Fubuki Shirou in this regard.

Throughout the story, Suzuno undergoes notable development. During his time as an alien, his personality is more exaggeratedly cold and arrogant. However, when he reappears as a member of Fire Dragon in the third season, he is portrayed as having mellowed; his arrogance lessens, and he becomes more friendly, even greeting his opponents in a noticeably altered tone. His voice also becomes higher in pitch during the world tournament arc compared to his time with Alia Gakuen.

In terms of abilities, Suzuno is a left-footed player. His signature individual hissatsu technique is Northern Impact, a powerful shot that launches the ball with devastating force. He is also capable of using Water Veil. His most notable technique is the combination shot Fire Blizzard, which he performs alongside his rival and partner, Burn. Later, while playing for Fire Dragon, he also performs the three-person combination technique Chaos Break with Aphrodi and Burn. His playing style is designed to freeze his opponents with cool tactics. In the Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin timeline, he appears as a member of Eisei Gakuen. Some localizations of the anime changed the character’s gender to female, though the original Japanese version and most other adaptations portray him as male.
