Susumu Sonosaki is a young boy attending the same elementary school as Dai Mugen and Kaisei Kishi. Initially without divine abilities, his powers manifest seven episodes into the series. Shortly after gaining these powers, he encounters the Kamizumo partner Nabekichi, mistakenly identifying it as a baby bird, which sparks their partnership.

Visually, Susumu possesses brown hair reaching his ears and blue or green eyes. His typical attire includes glasses, a sweater, boots, and overalls with straps.
