Description
Max is the main male protagonist of the anime Kimagure Orange Road. He is a kind and gentle teenage boy who, along with his younger sisters, possesses inherited esper powers, referred to in the series as “the Power.” Because their abilities have been discovered in the past, the family has been forced to move repeatedly, and Max has changed schools seven times. At the start of the story, his family settles in a new town, and Max hopes this will be their final move.
Max is characterized by his indecisiveness, which becomes the central driver of the love triangle that defines the series. He is immediately smitten with Madoka Ayukawa after a brief, romantic encounter, but upon starting school he learns that she has a reputation as a tough, no‑nonsense delinquent.
