Description
Ghinta, whose full name is Ginta Suou, is a prominent character known for being Miki Koishikawa's best male friend and a classmate at Toryo High School. He is a member of the school's tennis team, a detail that establishes him as athletic and physically active. With brown hair and brown eyes, his birthday is on April 10th.

In terms of personality, Ghinta is an enthusiastic and energetic young man who is often seen as impulsive and passionate in his actions. He tries to present a cool and tough exterior, but this facade often gives way to a more sensitive and emotional interior. He can be easily flustered or provoked, especially by his friends Yuu Matsuura and Arimi Suzuki, revealing a lack of self-confidence that he works to hide. This emotional side makes him quite similar to Miki, the main character, in how he reacts to romantic and social situations. He is also shown to be somewhat forgetful and can be possessive about things he cares about, demonstrating a range of traits from being a natural leader to being stubbornly selfish at times. Despite these flaws, he is generally regarded as sweet and nice, with a silliness that emerges when he is excited.

Ghinta's role in the story is deeply tied to his romantic history and his place within the central love polygon. He and Miki have known each other since junior high school, and she confessed her feelings for him in a letter. However, when Ghinta's classmates found the note, he downplayed the situation and laughed it off, not knowing that Miki was watching. This created a painful misunderstanding, as he actually harbored the same feelings for her but was too shy and inexperienced to express them properly. They managed to remain close friends, but the arrival of Yuu Matsuura, Miki's new stepbrother and romantic interest, brings these unresolved feelings to the surface. Seeing Yuu grow closer to Miki makes Ghinta realize he still loves her and ignites a strong sense of jealousy within him.

This jealousy leads to Ghinta’s most significant storyline. He is approached by Arimi Suzuki, Yuu’s beautiful and sophisticated ex-girlfriend, who is also trying to win Yuu back. They form a pact to pretend to be a new couple in the hopes of making Miki and Yuu jealous and driving a wedge between them. Initially, this scheme is purely strategic, but as Ghinta spends more time with Arimi, his genuine feelings for her begin to develop. He transitions from a boy pining for his old crush to someone capable of forming a new, authentic romantic connection. For her part, Arimi also starts to fall for Ghinta, and the fake relationship evolves into a real one. This development highlights his growth, as he moves on from the past and finds happiness in a new relationship built on mutual experience.

His key relationships are central to the plot. His friendship and unrequited love for Miki form the foundation of his early character arc, creating a classic love triangle with Yuu. His competitive and often childish rivalry with his cousin, Tsutomu Rokutanda, provides many of the series’ lighter, comedic moments. Ultimately, his most important relationship becomes the one he builds with Arimi Suzuki, which defines his personal happiness and outcome in the story. On the tennis court, Ghinta is a capable player, and his athletic ability sometimes serves as a backdrop for competitions and bonding moments with his rivals and friends, particularly Yuu.
