TV-Series
Description
Koji Kuroki is a member of the Ha-Ha Brothers, a trio of juvenile delinquents who attend Deimon High School in the Eyeshield 21 series. He and his two companions are forced to join the Deimon Devil Bats American football team when the team's captain, Yoichi Hiruma, blackmails them into becoming players.

On the team, Kuroki serves as a lineman, primarily as an offensive tackle, and wears jersey number 52. He is also capable of playing linebacker on defense. Physically, he has medium-length dark hair with noticeably longer eyelashes compared to the other members of the Ha-Ha Brothers, and he is frequently depicted carrying a metal bat.

Of the three, Kuroki is portrayed as the most violent and hot-headed. He openly describes himself as a coward who prefers to strike only from behind, and he does not hesitate to fall back on his street-fighting instincts when his skills as a lineman prove ineffective. Despite this aggressive and confrontational nature, he possesses surprising versatility outside of football. He is highly proficient at video games and arcade games, displaying quick reflexes and sharp strategic thinking. He is also unexpectedly gifted in music, a subject in which he excels academically.

Kuroki's initial reason for playing football is purely a result of coercion. Over the course of the series, as the Ha-Ha Brothers develop beyond their initial roles as generic delinquents, he becomes a more distinct individual within the team. This development is marked by Hiruma giving him the individual nickname fish mouth, which sets him apart from his companions and signifies his growth into a recognized member of the Devil Bats. The team provides structure for his aggressive energy and offers him a sense of camaraderie and belonging.

His physical capabilities as a lineman are supported by a bench press of 85 kilograms and a 40-yard dash time of 5.1 seconds, allowing him to function effectively on the offensive line to protect his teammates and facilitate the team's plays.
