Description
Oacus is a sorcerer and an antagonist who appears exclusively in the anime adaptation of Deltora Quest. He is introduced in the thirty-eighth episode, which is titled Sorcerer Oacus, and he serves the forces of the Shadow Lord. After the sorceress Thaegan is defeated for a third time, Fallow nominates Oacus to take action against the heroes. Oacus is brought before Fallow after burning down a villager's house, and he receives instructions to retrieve the Belt of Deltora, recover the stolen gems, and kill Lief, Barda, and Jasmine. This introduction establishes him as a ruthless agent who is willing to harm innocent people in carrying out his mission.
Oacus encounters the main characters while they are traveling toward the Valley of the Lost. Harassed by the Shadow Lord's minions, the group loses a member of their party and is forced to take another route, which brings them into the sorcerer's path.
