Daichi is a Guardian Character from the Shugo Chara! universe, serving as the physical manifestation of Kukai Souma's true inner self. As a being born from a might-have-been egg, Daichi came into existence when Kukai faced a dilemma common to many talented young athletes: the desire to pursue every sport he loved while being forced by circumstance to choose just one path. This origin defines his entire being, as he represents the pure, unbridled passion for sports and athletic competition that resides within his owner.
In appearance, Daichi is designed to look like a miniature soccer player, reflecting Kukai's primary sporting interest. He has mint-green or turquoise hair that falls to about his ears, often covered by a white sweatband adorned with a prominent yellow star. His eyes are typically depicted as either orange or brown, and he wears a casual yet sporty outfit consisting of a bright yellow t-shirt, white shorts, and yellow and white sneakers. Like all Guardian Characters, he is small and chibi-like in stature, which is standard for the magical beings in this world.
