Description
Naruki Gerni is a first-year student in the Military Arts Department of the Academy City Zuellni. She is training for the City Police corps and transferred to Zuellni from the Transportation City of Yortem, accompanied by her childhood friends Mayshen Torinden and Mifi Rotten. Physically, she is a tall girl with a dark complexion, short violet hair, and gray eyes. She typically wears the standard Military Arts uniform top with a short blue skirt, dark gray socks that reach a few inches below her knees, and red high-cut canvas shoes.
Her personality is marked by a strong sense of justice and a spirited, reliable demeanor. She is level-headed and often takes a practical approach to situations, showing a willingness to help others and stand up for what she believes in. Her motivation stems from her desire to become a capable member of the City Police and to protect those around her, a goal she pursues with dedication.
In the story, Naruki initially appears as a supporting character who becomes acquainted with the main protagonist, Layfon Wolfstein Alseif, after an incident involving Mayshen. She later becomes a friend and ally to Layfon and the other members of the 17th platoon, offering her skills and support during battles against Filth Monsters. Her role is primarily that of a friendly and dependable peer who contributes to the group's efforts without seeking the spotlight.
Her key relationships are with Mayshen and Mifi, with whom she shares a long history and a strong bond of friendship. She also develops a respectful friendship with Layfon, often interacting with him in a straightforward and friendly manner. Her development is subtle; she remains a constant and trustworthy presence, gradually gaining confidence in her abilities as she participates in the challenges facing Zuellni.
Naruki is notably talented with a rope, using it as a weapon in combat with considerable skill. Additionally, she possesses a unique technique that allows her to deliver a lightning-like strike that directly attacks an opponent's nervous system, paralyzing them. This ability enables her to defeat multiple Military Artists in a single attack, showcasing her competence as a fighter despite her relatively low rank among the students.
