Fuyuka Oura
Description
Fuyuka Oura, who has also been known professionally as Fuyuka Ono since 2016, is a Japanese voice actress born on January 13, 1978, in Sapporo, Hokkaido. She is affiliated with the talent agency Green Note. Before entering the voice acting industry, she qualified as a registered nurse and public health nurse.
Her career in voice acting began in the early 2000s. One of her first notable roles was as Tomoka Osakada in the long-running series The Prince of Tennis in 2001. She quickly established herself with a wide range of character types, from young boys to mystical heroines. A significant early leading role was as Kei Oumi in the 2003 series Twin Spica. She also began her long association with the baseball anime Major, voicing the protagonist Toshiya Sato as a young boy.
Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Oura amassed an extensive list of credits in major anime series. She voiced the protagonist Subaru Hoshikawa in Mega Man Star Force and its sequel. She took on the role of the androgynous alien Ren Elsie Jewelria and his female counterpart Run in the popular franchise To Love-Ru, a part she would reprise in subsequent series and video games. In the horror series Higurashi: When They Cry, she voiced the child version of the character Miyo Takano, known as Miyoko Tanashi. Her other prominent roles from this period include Hiro Hiyorimi in Princess Resurrection, Mizuki Inuhiko in Corpse Princess, Dan Bashin in the Battle Spirits franchise, and Eve Tearm and Yukino Agria in Fairy Tail. In 2016, she voiced the twin characters Hōzuki Sanzō and Noriko Sanzō in Nanbaka.
Her work has also extended to animated films, such as the 2009 film Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection, in which she played Miharu Sasaki, and the 2008 film Major: Yūjō no Winning Shot, where she reprised her role as a young Toshiya Satō. She has also contributed her voice to video games, with roles including Sayaka Myoujin in Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Chisato Madison in Star Ocean: The Second Story, and Natsu in Soulcalibur V. In 2020, she joined the cast of the popular game Azur Lane, voicing the ship character Gangut.
