Description
Malduk, a necromancer serving the human kingdom of Gray, became consumed by obsessive love for Princess Jane after the king's death. Driven to ease her grief, he performed forbidden magic to resurrect the monarch as an undead being. This ritual inadvertently tore open a portal to the underworld, unleashing demons and triggering a catastrophe that resulted in his formal banishment by the kingdom's knight, Theo.

Bitter and resentful from exile, Malduk swore fealty to the Dark Lord Angmund, becoming a key servant dedicated to his master's resurrection. He allied with Maria, a former saintess who renounced the goddess Lua after believing she abandoned King Kyle and Illya centuries earlier. Together, they orchestrated efforts to return Angmund to power, freeing demonic forces across the realm.

Malduk eliminated obstacles with ruthless efficiency. He slaughtered the entire mercenary faction "Black Edge" during an investigation on the Gallua Plains, sparing only Riheet. This massacre forged Riheet's vendetta against him. Later, targeting the holy sword Eia within the World Tree to further Angmund's resurrection, Malduk was confronted and killed by Riheet, fulfilling the oath of vengeance.

His necromancy in Gray bore lasting consequences. Princess Jane, killed during the demonic incursion he caused, was resurrected by demon forces as an undead being stripped of her memories. His former rival, Theo, remained an active opponent against Angmund's forces. Malduk's manipulation of the boundary between life and death, fueled by obsession and bitterness, directly fueled the resurgence of darkness threatening Orvelia.
