Description
Ojo de Tigre, known in the original Japanese version as Tiger's Eye, is an antagonist introduced in the fourth anime season Sailor Moon SuperS. He is one of the three members of the Amazon Trio, a group of subordinates working for the Dead Moon Circus under the command of the sorceress Zirconia. Ojo de Tigre was originally a tiger living at the circus, and he was later given a human-like form through magic, a transformation that left him with pointed, elf-like ears and a slightly wild appearance. In his human guise he appears as a tall and flamboyant young man with long orange or golden hair, earrings, and expressive eyes, usually dressed in a white outfit with black shoulder accents and long gloves. He carries a whip as his signature weapon.

His personality is theatrical, vain, and self-assured. He takes great pride in his own attractiveness and often behaves like a charming romantic pursuer, favoring young women he considers beautiful. When carrying out his missions, he typically approaches his chosen target in disguise, gains her trust, and plays the part of an admirer before revealing his true intentions. He speaks and carries himself in an exaggeratedly glamorous and sometimes effeminate manner, and he enjoys teasing both his victims and his fellow trio members. Beneath his flamboyance, however, he shares a genuine bond with his companions Hawk's Eye and Fish Eye. The three bicker and mock one another constantly, but they stand together when it matters.

The motivation behind his actions comes from his role in the Dead Moon Circus. The trio has been ordered to search for Pegasus, a mystical being who hides inside the dreams of an ordinary person. Their mission is to examine the dream mirrors of the people of Tokyo, find the dream in which Pegasus is concealed, and capture him so that Queen Nehelenia can obtain the Golden Crystal and plunge the world into darkness. Ojo de Tigre carries out this task by selecting targets from photographs, disguising himself to get close to them, and then extracting their dream mirrors through a magical ritual. Once the mirror is revealed, he looks inside it to check whether Pegasus is hidden there. If the Sailor Guardians intervene, he summons monster servants known as Lemures to fight in his place while he escapes through a ring of light.

Within the story, he is one of the season's recurring minor antagonists and the first of the trio to be sent into action. He examines more dream mirrors than any of his colleagues over the course of the series, which also means he is repelled by the Sailor Guardians more often than the others. He takes part in several notable schemes, including an attempt to trap Pegasus with a cage by using a hostage as bait, and at one point he exploits the romantic feelings of Makoto Kino to catch her off guard and inspect her dream. His presence helps establish the pattern of the season's early conflicts, as each episode sees one of the trio selecting a victim and being confronted by the Sailor Guardians.

His development comes late in the season. After the trio finally discovers that Pegasus is hiding inside the dreams of Chibiusa, they begin to question their treatment at the hands of Zirconia. Zirconia reveals to them that they are not truly human but animals given human shape, and when they rebel against her, she sends the Amazoness Quartet to destroy them. In the confrontation that follows, Ojo de Tigre and his companions choose to side with the Sailor Guardians, helping Usagi at a critical moment so that she can regain her power and continue the fight. He and the others perish in the battle, but Pegasus rescues them by granting them the chance to become genuinely human and carrying their souls to his own world, the land of dreams, where they are finally free.

In terms of abilities, Ojo de Tigre is a capable combatant who wields a whip for close-range attacks. Like the other members of the trio, he can extract and inspect dream mirrors, create a ring of light to teleport, and summon Lemures to battle on his behalf. His charm and skill at deception are also important tools, since most of his successes come from convincing his targets to trust him before he strikes. His animal origins remain a defining part of his character, as they shape both his predatory methods and his eventual longing for a real human existence.
