Description
Pegaso, also called Elliot, is a central figure in the anime season Sailor Moon SuperS. He is the dream form of a character whose true identity is Helios, the high priest of Elysion, a sacred kingdom hidden within the Earth that serves as the realm of dreams and is connected to Prince Endymion. As Pegaso, he appears as a small winged white pegasus with a single horn, and that horn is actually the visible form of the Golden Crystal of Dreams, a powerful relic he protects.
His background begins in Elysion, a once beautiful and peaceful land that was attacked by Queen Nehellenia and her Dead Moon Circus. Nehellenia wanted the Golden Crystal so she could break the seal that kept her imprisoned in a mirror world and regain her freedom and youth. She captured Helios, and his physical body was confined within her domain. Only his spirit was able to escape, taking the form of Pegaso. Because he could not survive long on Earth in that state, he sought refuge inside the beautiful dreams of pure-hearted people, hiding from the enemies who hunted him. He eventually found his way into the dreams of Chibiusa, known as Rini in some versions, and asked for her help while swearing her to secrecy.
In terms of personality, Pegaso is gentle, wise, and deeply devoted to his duty as protector of dreams and guardian of the Golden Crystal. He is also cautious and secretive, initially refusing to answer many of Chibiusa's questions because revealing too much could endanger her and because the truth of his identity carried great risk. Despite this reserve, he is warm, encouraging, and sincerely cares about the wellbeing of those he trusts.
