Description
Raimu "Rhyme" Bito, younger sister of Daisukenojo "Beat" Bito, entered the Reapers’ Game alongside him after their deaths in a hit-and-run accident. Her calm optimism contrasts sharply with Beat’s impulsiveness, anchoring both her brother and allies with her steady presence. During their first Game, Rhyme’s entry fee—her memories and emotional bond with Beat—left her unaware of their sibling relationship, though she retained a lingering sense of devotion to an unnamed brother.
On the Game’s fourth day, she sacrificed herself to intercept a Noise trap targeting Beat, triggering her erasure. Sanae Hanekoma later bound her soul to a psych pin, allowing her to manifest as a sentient Noise. This act drove Beat to become a Reaper in hopes of reviving her. In a subsequent Game, Rhyme’s Noise form served as Beat’s entry fee, with her residual protectiveness enabling her to temporarily assist Neku Sakuraba in toppling a Game Master.
Revived post-Game, Rhyme reclaimed her memories and supported Beat in the Realground. She cultivated hacking expertise, infiltrating the Reapers’ networks to trace Beat after his disappearance—a mission that led her to collaborate with Reaper technician Kaie Ono. An alternate timeline depicted her and Beat as former comedy partners; there, she joined a Tin Pin Slammer team to refocus his ambitions, deploying strategic subterfuge against rivals while secretly mending their fractured bond.
Rhyme’s design echoes her evolution: her initial beanie with a skull patch and brother-gifted pendant later evolved into tech-inspired gear, including a crown-emblazoned cap and hooded jacket, mirroring her hacker identity. Her self-expression extends to using the masculine Japanese pronoun *boku*. Post-resurrection, she tirelessly hunted for Beat during his absences, often sidelining her well-being. Though she maintained her trademark kindness in diffusing conflicts, she eventually sought to carve an identity independent of Beat’s overprotectiveness after their reunification.
