TV-Series
Description
Ako Suminoe is one of the main characters in her story. She is the older twin sister of Riko Suminoe and the older step-sister of Keita Suminoe, having become part of the same household when their parents remarried during the siblings' childhood. As the story progresses, Ako is a high school student aged sixteen to seventeen and serves as the general manager or secretary of her school's student council. Her birthday is November 7th.

In terms of appearance, Ako is notably petite, standing at 145 centimeters tall. She has tuscan red hair that she typically wears in a shoulder-length ponytail, secured with a distinctive hair clip on the left side of her forehead, and she has raw umber eyes. This hairstyle is a primary visual difference between her and her twin sister, Riko.

Ako has a complex personality that balances a responsible, mature exterior with a more vulnerable and emotional interior. On the surface, she is bright, cheerful, and far more accomplished in domestic matters than her sister. She is intelligent, excelling in her studies, and is highly skilled in housework, particularly cooking, which she uses to care for her family. She endeavors to maintain a prim and proper demeanor, fitting for her position on the student council. Despite this composed facade, Ako can be very emotional, childish, and easily embarrassed, especially in situations involving her step-brother, Keita. While she is not as overtly manipulative as her twin, she has a perverse side and is not afraid to use her authority or create situations to get what she wants. She has a habit of naming kisses based on the occasion, such as a welcome home kiss or a study well kiss, which tends to annoy Keita.

Ako's primary motivation is her deep romantic love for her step-brother, Keita, whom she affectionately calls Kei-chan. Having been encouraged by their parents from a young age to consider a future with him, she sees the fact that they are not related by blood as an opportunity. Her main goal is to win his affections and eventually become his wife, leading her to constantly compete with her twin sister, Riko, who shares the same objective. Unlike Riko's more openly lewd approach, Ako's advances are often tempered by her shyness and a desire to maintain a proper image, though she is just as determined.

In the story, Ako plays a central role as one of the primary love interests. She frequently creates scenarios to be alone with Keita, sometimes abusing her student council position to do so. She often helps Keita with his studies, using her academic superiority to tutor him, and takes care of the household duties in their mother's absence. Her actions drive much of the romantic and comedic tension, as she constantly blurs the line between sisterly affection and romantic pursuit.

Key relationships define Ako's actions. Her relationship with her twin sister, Riko, is a constant rivalry for Keita's attention, marked by frequent fighting and competition. However, despite their bickering, they are united in their goal and will often form a front against any other girl who shows interest in Keita. Her relationship with Keita is the most significant. When she is with him, her normally mature personality gives way to childishness and intense self-consciousness. She loves him deeply and becomes easily embarrassed during their intimate encounters, often worrying about visible marks. He, in turn, appreciates her homemaking skills and often goes to her for help or to apologize. Ako also views girls like Miharu Mikuni as rivals, showing jealousy over their attributes, though she has occasionally helped them.

Throughout the narrative, Ako shows development in her confidence and her strategies for pursuing Keita, but her core personality traits remain consistent. She is portrayed as someone who is both maternal and childishly needy, responsible and perverse, making her a complex character driven by her conflicting desires to be proper and to be with the one she loves. A notable ability of hers is her high tolerance for alcohol, which she sometimes uses to her advantage to create a certain atmosphere with Keita.
