Description
Kyōsuke Tsutsumi is a senior at Otobane Academy and a close friend of Hiro Hirono. He describes himself as a playboy and carries a digital video recorder everywhere, driven by a passion for filmmaking that makes him a respected member of the school’s Film Research Club. Outwardly light-hearted and confident, he is also thorough in both his personal pursuits and his creative work, with a sharp eye for authentic moments and human behavior. He tends to observe people as potential subjects for his films, often treating conversations like interviews and offering blunt, perceptive comments about their motivations. On Christmas night, he spots a girl running down the street and tries to capture her on camera, but a passing truck blocks his shot; he later learns the girl was Kei Shindou. This single unattainable image becomes the focus of an intense creative obsession, leading him to quit the film club and agree to a breakup with his girlfriend Emi Izumi. His fixation gradually deepens into genuine love for Kei, and he becomes a key figure in her personal story, acting as both a catalyst and a supportive presence. Although his habit of framing life through a lens can create emotional distance, his development from a carefree playboy into someone who commits to a single person and reconciles his artistic drive with his feelings marks a central part of his arc in the series. His notable abilities include an intuitive grasp of composition and narrative, as well as the perceptiveness to draw out raw emotion from those he films.
