Description
Elle Ragu holds the title of the 59th Sevaar of the warrior kingdom of Kurda, a rank she achieved at the age of fourteen, which is three years before the main events of the story. She is known by the fighting epithet Shadow Skill, which is also the name of her signature martial arts style.
Elle was orphaned as a child when her parents died from a rampant disease. She contracted the same illness, and her older brother, Diaz Ragu, embarked on numerous dangerous missions as a mercenary to fund the medicine that saved her life. While Elle survived, the toll on Diaz's body was irreversible, weakening him to the point where he had to abandon his own aspirations of becoming a warrior. He instead became a blacksmith, forging weapons such as his Black Wing boomerangs. Elle carries a profound and persistent sense of guilt over this, believing that her brother was more deserving of the Sevaar title than she is.
